What type of business are you in?
My day is filled with following key areas:
1) Microsoft ISVs and their strategy development
2) Microsoft BI solutions with rich user experiences in analytics such as social media metrics
3) Social media/engagement marketing research
What type of activities would benefit you as part of this network?
I have an interest for anything that has do to with the life of an ISV and specifically from a business model perspective. My doctoral dissertation from 2004 dealt with software product platforms (Evaluation of a Product Platform Strategy for Analytical Application Software) and it seems like market is getting more towards this as programming paradigms and software licensing models are changing.

Mea Clouda: SaaS Vendors Can Win Over Customers with Honesty: can onpremise applications provide 99,5% or better uptime?

No IT system is failsafe, and I would even argue that some onpremise solutions do not provide 99.5 or higher uptime. I have not seen one yet.

Coders at Work: Recommended reading for people in software business

I have to say that I was very excited to run into a new book by Peter Seibel " Coders at work" that provides reflection of known developers and their thinking when developing software.

Announcing the topic of my new upcoming book from Talentum

It is time to reveal the name of my new upcoming book. We have agreed it to be ” Rohkeasti maailmalle – onnistu liike-elämässä ja ihmisenä”. If one translates it to English, it is close to following: “Bravely out into the wide world - become successful in business and as a person”. My first book “Onnistu suuressa maailmassa - opas globaaleille kilpakentille” (Become successful in the big world – guide to global competitive markets) came out to book stores in January 2008 and I feel that this new… Continue
